Training Tailored to The Dog

Two dogs sitting on a black leather surface in a cozy room with a brown leather couch in the background.

No two dogs are the same, and training should reflect that.

I look at the dog in front of me: temperament, genetics, intrinsic needs, emotional state, learning history, and the patterns of the individual dog that shape behavior.

Training is more than teaching commands. Its about developing engagement, connection, creating clarity, and helping the dog understand how their choices affect outcomes.

I believe in full feedback, giving dogs clear meaningful information. Behavior is driven by consequences, thoughtful training utilizes that understanding to build reliability, emotional regulation and a dog better prepared to meet the expectations of the life they live with you.

Ways to Train With Noelle

PRIVATE TRAINING - IN HOME LESSONS

Individualized, one on one training built around your dog, your goals, and the realities of your life together.

From foundational skills and reliability to problem behaviors and more complex training needs. Private training allows us to focus on what matters most to you and your dog.

Limited Workshops for more intensive immersion training! This month I’m doing a retreat with a small group of teams to focus on introductions to Tracking and Precision Work for Performance! Specialty opportunities come along a few times a year. Stay Tuned!!

BOARD & TRAIN IMMERSION

Individualized. Intentional. Fully Integrated.

This program offers a unique, one-on-one training experience where each dog lives with me as part of my daily life.

This allows me to observe patterns, tailor the training process, and provide clear, consistent feedback throughout each day, not only during scheduled training sessions.

Each dog is regularly given play and enrichment and meaningful outlets. Meeting a dog’s needs is a huge part of the success of the program.

The result is a deeply individualized training experience, with progress built on clarity, communication, and fulfillment. Bringing the owners into the process with clear guidance and support allowing sustainability of behaviors once the dog returns home.

GROUP TRAINING AND COACHING

Training in a group setting offers opportunities to build skills, engagement, and reliability while working around real distractions.

I also provide coaching for handlers interested in developing and refining greater precision and clarity in their training for performance/competitive dog sports.

Whether the goal is everyday reliability or more advanced skill sets, the focus remains the same: clear communication, thoughtful training, and a stronger working relationship between dog and handler.

Who I Work With

A woman and a dog playing together in a training facility with a sign that reads "Canine Athletes: Serious Dogs for Serious People." The dog is standing on its hind legs, appearing to be excited or engaged with the woman.

I work with families and their companion pet dogs and puppies who wish to build obedience and manners as well as dogs who are presenting with problematic behavioral issues.

I also work with handlers who wish to explore foundational skills for performance dog sports with an emphasis on precision and attitude.

My clients are people who have a strong sense of commitment to their dog, as well as eagerness to be an active participant in the learning process to bring out the best in their pet and what they do TOGETHER!!

About Noelle

I have been training dogs professionally since 1995, but my education in dogs has never stopped.

I began my career teaching in pet stores, where training often followed a standardized, cookie-cutter format. As I became more involved in dog clubs and performance sports, I began developing my own curriculum and looking more deeply at how individual dogs learn.

My involvement in competitive obedience and, later, protection and working dog sports changed the way I viewed training. Working with dogs at that level demanded greater clarity, precision, engagement, and a deeper understanding of behavior and how to effectively influence it. Those lessons continue to shape the way I train every dog—whether I am coaching a competitive handler or helping a family build a more reliable life with their companion dog.

Over the years, I have taught group classes, private lessons, and board and train programs. I also owned and operated a dog daycare and training facility for ten years before choosing to return to my roots and passion, a more personal, hands-on approach to training.

I am a long-standing certified member of the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors and currently serve in a leadership role with the organization. I continue to train and compete with my own dogs because I believe strongly in eternal learning. Testing my skills and training through competitive dog sport. Participating in continued education efforts always striving to deliver the most effective and sustainable information to the dogs and their people.

Dogs have shaped nearly every part of my life. I remain deeply grateful for what they and the many people I have met through them continue to teach me.

~ Noelle <3

If you’re searching for a trainer who delivers real results while making the journey feel uplifting, empowering and full of heart, Noelle is truly the best in the business. I recommend her with complete confidence and endless gratitude.

Bonnie and the Rotties

It is not an exaggeration to say that Noelle Nasca is the only reason I have my dog, Arlo, today. She took a completely overwhelmed, out of her depth human and a completely feral shelter dog and gave us the tools to communicate with one another. Noelle is a gifted trainer but also a brilliant teacher of humans. Whether you are looking or someone to help you with basics, behavior issues or competitive dog sports, Noelle Nasca is the absolute best. I cannot recommend or thank her enough.

Elissa and Arlo

Noelle has not only helped me become a better dog trainer, but she has also taught me to understand the dog I am training. Her knowledge, ability, willingness to help others is something that makes her such a remarkable, amazing, wonderful human being.

Leslie and the Gang!

A woman with curly red hair, glasses, and a big smile, sitting on the floor with a large dog inside a dog training or play area. She is holding a blue ribbon, and the woman is wearing a green T-shirt, striped shorts, and colorful sneakers. In the background, there is a large fan, a cat tree, and some metal fencing.

In my mind, the mark of a truly good trainer is one who can explain, guide and help me through problems. Using clarity, honesty, thoughtfulness, and kindness. Noelle has been all of those things for me and my dogs over the years. She is exceptionally aware, understanding not only what my dogs need, but how i need to learn as well. Noelle does not take the “one size fits all” approach. I am grateful to have her as mentor and trust her judgement and training implicitly!

Margaret and the Gang!

This lady took the time to help me understand what was going on with my puppy. She gave me tools to last a lifetime. Noelle has a rare gift for training, an amazing personality and a generous heart. Anyone who has the chance to work with her should consider themselves and their 4legged friends extremely lucky! It will be the BEST experience for you and your dog.

Diane and The Goldens!

We have inducted Noelle as a part of our family (whether she realizes that or not)! That statement should reflect just how much her involvement with our dog has meant to us. Our relationship with our dog has benefited immensely. Noelle’s enthusiasm, excitement and willingness is palpable. She has a special gift, combined with experience and knowledge, which really revolutionized how we live with our dog. Forever grateful.
